Windows 10 : System Maintenance and Performance - Viewing Disk Information

How much space is left on your drive? What drive letter does your external hard disk use? Use the This PC view in File Explorer for answers to these and other questions about the drives built in to and connected to your computer.

1. Click or tap File Explorer.

2. Click or tap This PC.

3. The blue bar indicates how much space is used on the drive.

4. The bar turns red if the drive has less than 10% free space.

5. Click or tap a drive to display the Drive Tools tab.

6. Use the controls on the Drive Tools tab to manage your storage devices.

If you do not see bars listing drive capacity, click or tap the View tab and select Tiles from the Layout menu.
